Meet Our Diversity Advisory Board

Dear Glow Gang,

In June, we made a commitment to better support Black and BIPOC communities. For us, this work starts from within. We’re committed to making lasting change, and we realize that it’s important to include those with a wide range of experience and perspective in this conversation.

Our Diversity Advisory Board will be working with the Glow Recipe team to…

  • Ensure that we are serving our diverse community in our products, marketing, and content
  • Help leverage Glow Recipe’s platforms for social impact
  • Ensure that we are representing underserved minority groups
  • Test new products and give feedback
  • Work on various initiatives to support our minority communities through our Glow for Good Program

Please meet the members of our Diversity Advisory Board:

She’s currently a video director at Condé Nast Entertainment, where she develops new video series across all of Condé Nast’s publications. She’s passionate about environmental justice, cooking shows, cats, and vintage.

Dr. Elyse Love, board certified dermatologist, joins Glow Recipe's Diversity Advisory Board

Dr. Elyse Love is a board-certified dermatologist in NYC, specializing in the wide array of cosmetic and medical dermatology. Dr. Love is a graduate of Emory University School of Medicine and completed her residency at NYU, where she served as the chief of aesthetics during her final year of training. Aside from her clinical practice, she is also a published author on her interests in the modernization of dermatology and the quality of life impact of skin disease. Outside of clinic, she runs a personal instagram account (@elyselovemd) that focuses on the out-of-office components of beauty; frequent topics include skincare, fitness, social advocacy, and relationships. She is a proud runner and has completed the NYC marathon twice — although pilates has stolen her heart during social distancing.

Lauren Elyse, makeup artist and drag artist, joins Glow Recipe's Diversity Advisory Board

Lauren Elyse is a professional makeup artist, drag artist, and content creator from Chicago who uses makeup as an artistic outlet for creativity and self-expression. Never one to shy away from expressing themself, Lauren uses their platform to stand in what they believe in whenever they please — as well as helping in any way that they can. Lauren also has a skin condition called vitiligo, which they openly talk about and showcase to their audience through their makeup work and discussions. They want to challenge beauty standards and demand more visibility and representation for those who are visibly different in a world that’s hyper-focused on looking “perfect.”

Aysha Harun is a beauty and lifestyle creator who’s among the top Muslim creators in the beauty category.
