Meet the 3 POC-Owned Businesses We’re Mentoring

It’s no secret that the beauty industry has a lot of work to do to diversify its workforce, ourselves included. We launched our Community Mentoring Initiative to help create more opportunities for small multicultural businesses. For a period of three months, selected businesses gain direct access to our co-founders Sarah and Christine, as well as support from our in-house teams to help with business strategies and provide resources.

Flora & Noor

Flora & Noor, founded by Jordan Karim, is a skincare brand that targets the skin concerns of those with melanin-rich skin and chronic skin conditions starting with eczema + hyperpigmentation. Flora & Noor solves the vacancy of halal certified skincare in the US and provide inclusive, halal-certified, vegan, cruelty-free, and sustainable skincare.

Vive Cosmetics

Vive Cosmetics, founded by Joanna Rosario-Rocha and Leslie Valdivia, is a Latina-owned and led beauty brand, creating transformative and conscious beauty products. The brand and products are inspired by the founders’ Latine/x/o culture, beauty and diversity of families, friends and community. Vive Cosmetics is creating a space to celebrate who we truly and fully are, while disrupting cultural norms and redefining beauty standards.

Naturally Azelia

Founded by Tara Bickerstaff, Naturally Azelia is an all-natural and organic scalp and hair health brand that provides effective clean ingredients focused on scalp health and healthy hair growth for all hair types in mind. Naturally Azelia is not just a hair brand, but a brand that highlights the importance of self-empowerment, confidence and leadership.
