The whirlwind of New York Fashion Week is finally over! Besides hosting events and our exciting Unistella partnership, NYFW was the stage for the newest fashion looks. The latest and hottest trends from the runway can be found in the new mask innovations; many of the textiles and techniques reminded us of fashionable and fun ways to treat your skin.
As soft, rippling ruffles breezed past on the runway, we couldn’t help but to make the comparison to waves and splash masks. The gentle action of splashing and patting reveals smooth and soft skin.
Properly buttoned up or artfully deconstructed, a crisp and clean white cotton shirt will always be in style. The classic cotton shirt alongside large, plush coats made us think of the jumbo-sized cotton swabs for aqua peeling. It re-texturizes skin effectively, while making the process comfortable and easy.
Modern fashion is all about thinking ahead and forecasting for the future. Even this year’s Met Gala theme is the relationship between fashion and technology. Neoprene, or scuba material, has been used in many futuristic silhouettes. The unique, slightly rubbery material reminded us of the texture of rubber masks, a forward-looking skincare innovation.
Pantone’s colors of the year, Rose Quartz and Serenity, solidified pastel palettes as a fashion trend. These soft colors, along with statement baubles and intricate beading made us think of our newest curation: Bubble Bean Cleanser.
