So what is a pressed serum?
It’s a new category that is a serum + moisturizer hybrid, combining the concentration of a serum with the comforting hydration of a moisturizer. Blithe’s chemists use what is called ‘slow cooling’ over 36 hours, instead of flash heating, to preserve ingredient efficacy during processing. This is key to the formulation as ingredients in each formula are in concentrations of 60%+.
Pressed serums also utilize a blend of fermented natural oils with high skin affinity to leave skin comfortably hydrated without heaviness – fermentation helps to micronize ingredients and are especially great way to formulate oils that absorb quickly.
How do I incorporate a pressed serum into my routine?
The key to pressed serums are versatility. You can use it after cleansing and toning to replace the serum and moisturizer step. If you feel your skin needs an extra boost, layering an ampoule or serum before the pressed serum is also an option. You can also scoop a little more formula than usual onto the finger tips and gently press all over the face as a sleeping mask.

Crystal Iceplant Pressed Serum for oily & combination skin types
In a lightweight, gel cream texture that deeply hydrates without heaviness, this treatment is formulated with 63% Iceplant extract. Iceplant cells work as a ‘moisture magnet’ in order to survive the brutal Sahara climate, and is known for its calming and cooling properties.
