We’re in love with the new Watermelon Glow Lip Pop and we hope you will be, too! Lip Pop’s scrub-to-balm formula, made with two different kinds of exfoliants, makes it different from anything we’ve seen before, so we’re guessing you may have a few questions about. Read on for a helpful FAQ to answer your most-asked questions about the Watermelon Glow Lip Pop!

Can I use this during the day?

Watermelon Glow Lip Pop was made to be used every day throughout the day, so take it with you and apply it as needed!

Can I use this with another lip balm?

Yes, but unlike other lip products, Lip Pop is a balm, scrub, and tint all in one so you don’t have to use another product with it.

How does Lip Pop keep lips hydrated?

Watermelon Glow Lip Pop is made with hydrating and antioxidant-rich watermelon extract, as well as watermelon seed oil, jojoba esters, and coconut oil to lock in that hydration. The coconut sugar granules you see will also melt down after application – sugar is an amazing humectant, too. It’s also infused with vitamin E, which is known for its healing properties

Is there AHA in this?

Yes, our Lip Pop is formulated with super-gentle, edible, flower-derived AHA to help make your lips nice and smooth. This unique AHA is different from other acids like Glycolic Acid and Lactic Acid because it’s ultra-gently and nourishing, making it ideal for lips.

Can I use this if I have sensitive lips?

Yes! The scrub + AHA in our Lip Pop are natural, gentle, and lightweight. It’s packed with nourishing, hydrating ingredients and is totally safe to use for those with sensitive lips!

Does this make my lips more sensitive to the sun?

Our Lip Pop is formulated with gentle flower AHAs which differs from other forms of chemical exfoliation that make your skin more photosensitive. We always suggest using SPF when you’re exposed to the sun, but Lip Pop doesn’t make your lips more sensitive than any other lip treatment.

What color tint will it leave on my lips?

The finish of our Lip Pop is formulated to adjust according to the specific pH of your lips, creating a pop of pink that’s unique to each wearer. The color starts out sheer and builds to be brighter and glossier with each layer. You can apply Lip Pop as much or as little as you like to achieve your desired look, from a barely-there look to a saturated pop of pink.

Can I use this under lipstick? Can I wear it over lipstick?

Our Lip Pop’s hydrating pink base can be the perfect canvas for your favorite lip looks. It also has smoothing properties to help your color go on cleaner and last longer. If you layer it under another lip color, the pink tint can also add an extra “pop” of color payoff! You can also use Lip Pop over your lipstick, just keep in mind that the balm formula contains color that may alter the shade.

What’s the difference between this and the Sweet Chef Lip Mask?

Our Watermelon Glow Lip Pop contains coconut sugar and plant-derived AHAs to gently exfoliate, hydrating watermelon extract, and a unique pink tint. The Sweet Chef Sugarcane + Vitamin E Lip Sleeping Mask is a hydrating balm formula made with healing vitamin E and naturally, gently exfoliating sugarcane AHA. It contains no physically exfoliating ingredients or color in its formula.

Aren’t you supposed to wash off a scrub? Won’t it leave dead skin cell flakes on lips?

The coconut sugar we used in the Lip Pop formula is super gentle, and melts once you pop your lips together, eliminating the need for a wash-off step. If you experience dead skin flakes after using it, we recommend gently brushing them off with clean fingers.

How is this different from other lip balms?

Our unique 3-in-1 formula contains gentle physical and AHA exfoliants that leave a smooth, hydrated base. Lip Pop also contains a pink tint that changes based on your lip pH, giving you your own unique pop of color.

Are those microbeads? Will it be harsh on my lips?

What you’re seeing are granules of coconut flower sugar! We don’t and never will use microbeads in our products. Lip Pop’s formula contains plant-derived AHAs, so we we added a super gentle coconut sugar as the physical exfoliating aspect. When you pop your lips together, the coconut sugar melts, leaving a hydrating, smooth balm, while the AHAs smooth over time.

What ingredients is this free of?

Lip Pop is free of parabens, mineral oil, sulfates, silicones, phthalates, and drying alcohols. Lip Pop is also vegan and cruelty-free. However, it’s not certified gluten free.
