We’re so happy to announce that we’re officially Leaping Bunny certified cruelty-free!
Animal rights have always been incredibly important to us. Since starting Glow Recipe Skincare, we’ve constantly challenged ourselves to create clean, natural formulations with eco-conscious ingredients whenever possible, and have never tested on any of our animal friends. We promise to continue this commitment and are excited to share some exciting new developments that we’re making in our journey to become more sustainable soon as well.
What Does It Mean to be Leaping Bunny Certified?
Simply put, it means that a company, its products, and its entire supply chain is free of animal testing. In order to become Leaping Bunny certified, companies must submit documentation that verifies this.
Will This Impact Any Existing Glow Recipe Formulas?
Absolutely not! As we mentioned before, we have always been cruelty-free and are excited to have this official certification to make you even more confident about your decision to use Glow Recipe Skincare.
What Glow Recipe Skincare Products Are Vegan?
With the exception of our Avocado Melt Sleeping Mask, which contains nourishing manuka honey, the Glow Recipe Skincare line is vegan.
What Other Formulation Standards Does Glow Recipe Abide By?
We’re passionate about formulating with only the highest quality natural ingredients, and what’s not in the formula is just as important as what is. We provide full ingredient lists for complete transparency on our formulas. Our skincare essentials are clean, vegetarian, Leaping Bunny certified cruelty-free, and free of the following ingredients (among others):
- Parabens
- SLS + SLES (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Laureth Sulfate)
- Phthalates
- Mineral Oil
- Formaldehydes & Formaldehyde-releasing Agents
- PEGS (Polyethylene Glycols)
- Hydroquinone
- Plastic Microbeads
- Artificial Colorants
- BHA/BHT (Butylated Hydroxyanisole and Butylated Hydroxytoluene, preservatives that are not to be confused with Beta Hydroxy Acid)
- More than 0.5% of Synthetic Fragrance (We use the minimum amount of fragrance to create a sensorial, enjoyable skincare experience. All fragrances we use are tested and free of PCM and Linalool.)
