Is there fragrance in the formula?

There is less than 1% fragrance included in the entire formula, and we extensively test each ingredient to assure they’re safe for all skin types to use, including those with sensitive skin! Our Watermelon Glow Pink Dream Body Cream has the same classic watermelon scent as our Watermelon Pink Juice, Sleeping Mask, Mist, + Dew Drops, and like the rest of our line, is paraben-free and certified Clean At Sephora.

What percentage of this formula is AHA?

The percentage of hibiscus-derived AHA in our Pink Dream Body Cream formula is considered proprietary so we can’t share that, but we can tell you that it’s made to be effective and still gentle for daily use. We strongly believe that contextualizing the overall formula gives more information than specific percentages. That’s because percentages don’t tell the whole story—quality, extraction processes, source of the ingredient, where it’s derived from, and how it’s balanced and synergizes with other ingredients are important determinants of efficacy and experience. Where was the formula made?

This formula is made in the United States.

Is it non-comedogenic/non-acnegenic?

While the formula is not tested for non-comedogenic and non-acnegenic claims, we made sure all ingredients are gentle for all skin types.

How To Use

Can I use this on my face?

While the formula is made with the same ingredients as face treatments, we recommend using it as its intended usage- a body cream! We formulated with ingredients specifically meant to target body skin concerns, like watermelon seed butter (a special blend of watermelon seed oil and mango seed butter) and more.

Can I use this with other Glow Recipe products on my body?

Yes, these formulas all work well together to give glowing, bright skin. You can add a few drops of your favorite serum as an extra boost to your Pink Dream Body Cream.

Do I need to follow Pink Dream Body Cream with SPF?

Yes, we always recommend using SPF in your AM body routine on any exposed skin. Pink Dream Body Cream is super lightweight, and layers well under body SPF.

Can it be used in the same routine as other concentrated body products?

We can’t speak to how our Pink Dream Body Cream will interact with body formulas from other brands. We recommend patch testing new ingredients + product combinations on a small portion of your arm before trying them together on your whole body.

Can I use it in my AM and PM routines?

Yes, Pink Dream Body Cream is super gentle + hydrating, and totally safe to use in both AM+PM routines. When using it in your AM routine, we always recommend following with SPF, as it does have gentle exfoliants.

Is it safe to use every day?

Yes! Our Pink Dream Body Cream is formulated to be gentle enough for everyday use while still being effective in providing intense hydration and gentle exfoliation.

Would it help remove dry flakes? 

Yes! The  formula works hard to proactively prevent dry flakes by deeply hydrating with watermelon seed butter, bacuri butter, hyaluronic acid and more. Plus, it helps smooth rough, textured skin using natural hibiscus AHA and coffeeberry.

Does this help with stretch marks?

Adding and maintaining hydration is critical to prevent or lessen the appearance of stretch marks. Watermelon seed butter and hyaluronic acid hydrate while hibiscus-derived AHA can help to gently exfoliate to lighten and brighten the skin, which also may help to improve the appearance of stretch marks. However, stretch marks are normal in healthy skin, so we don’t think you should stress about them too much!

Is the hydration long-lasting?

In a clinical study of 32 subjects, participants experienced a significant improvement in skin barrier function for 24 hours after application. So we would say pretty long!

After showering, how long should I wait to put on body cream?

If you’d like to apply after a shower or bath, it’s best to wait until your skin is slightly damp or close to dry to seal in hydration (don’t apply while dripping wet, as this will dilute the formula). You can also apply throughout the day to replenish moisture as needed.

Where should I store my Pink Dream Body Cream?

We recommend keeping your Pink Dream Body Cream in a cool, dry place (out of direct light) along with the rest of your skincare products. We do not recommend storing it in the fridge.

Can I use this if I have body acne?

Yes! The hibiscus AHA in our formula works to help keep our body skin clear and fresh by providing gentle smoothing and exfoliation. This makes it a star ingredient for those who experience body acne.

Is this suitable for eczema? 

While it’s not clinically tested for eczema, the formula is clinically proven to drastically improve instant and long-lasting moisture. Nutrient-dense ingredients like Hibiscus AHA, coffeeberry, and horsetail extract help keep skin soothed and healthy-looking. If you’re working with a dermatologist to treat your eczema, we’d recommend consulting them first.

Can I use this if I’m pregnant?

Like the rest of our line, our Pink Dream Body Cream is a super gentle fruit-based formula. However, anyone who is pregnant or thinking about becoming pregnant should share all cosmetic ingredient lists with their doctor to allay any concerns.

What does it smell like?

Our Pink Dream Body Cream formula has a fresh and fruity watermelon scent that’s easy to become obsessed with, just like our other watermelon products.

Does it leave a tacky finish?

Pink Dream Body Cream has a super lightweight texture that leaves your body feeling hydrated, but never tacky or sticky. We always recommend gently rubbing in your bodycare until it’s evenly absorbed, but this one was made to absorb quickly.

Where does the color come from?

Pink Dream Body Cream is actually free of synthetic dyes. The color of the formula is naturally derived from soothing plant extracts.

Why do I need a bodycare product?

Your body deserves the same care and attention as your face, which is why we formulated our body cream with the same top-notch ingredients used in our game-changing face products, such as hibiscus AHA, hyaluronic acid, watermelon seed butter, and watermelon extract.

What is the recyclability of the packaging?

Every part of this packaging is recyclable. The plastic bottle and the entire carton can be recycled curbside. The plastic pump can be recycled through our Terracycle program.  Please rinse out the bottle before recycling!
