How do I use Dew Drops in my routine?

If you’re using it as a serum, apply it after toner and before your eye cream and moisturizer. If you’re cocktailing it with other Glow Recipe serums, we like to recommend Dew Drops as the last in your serum step.

If you’re using it as a base for makeup, you can apply 1-2 pumps all over skin, after you apply SPF. If you’re wearing Dew Drops as a skincare highlighter, you can apply it as the last step of your routine, on the high points of your face, for a glossy look.

Do I use Dew Drops in the AM or PM?

What does it smell like?

Dew Drops  has the same classic watermelon scent as our Watermelon Pink Juice and  Sleeping Mask, and like the rest of our line, is paraben-free + certified Clean at Sephora!

Does it have fragrance?

Like all Glow Recipe products, there is less than 0.5% fragrance included in the entire formula, and we extensively test each ingredient to assure they’re safe for all skin types to use, including those with sensitive skin! Learn more about our stance on fragrance here.

Can I use this with other Glow Recipe serums, like the Guava Vitamin C Dark Spot Serum or Plum Plump Hyaluronic Serum?

Yes! These formulas all work well together to give glowing, bright skin. We recommend using Plum Plump Hyaluronic Serum and Guava Vitamin C Dark Spot Serum and then applying Dew Drops to the high points of the face. 

We recommend applying your serums from the thinnest to thickest texture, and applying Dew Drops as the last product in your serum step.

Can I use Dew Drops with my other favorite Glow Recipe products?

Yes, definitely! Like the rest of our line, we formulated Dew Drops to work with all of our existing products. 

Can it be used in the same routine as other concentrated serums?

Yup! Niacinamide works well with other actives like AHA, BHA, retinol & vitamin C, etc. That being said, we always recommend patch testing new ingredients and product combinations on the back of your hand before trying on your face!

How is this different from Pink Juice?

Our Dew Drops serum can function as a highlighter, serum, and a primer in your routine, depending on how you use it. The lightweight gel formula utilizes ingredients such as niacinamide, lightweight moringa oil, and hyaluronic acid to deliver an extreme glow while brightening and hydrating. Our Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer is a hydrating, oil-free moisturizer that is intended to be used as the last step before SPF in your AM routine, and before sleeping masks in your PM routine. The two pair perfectly together! 

Where does the glow come from?

This emulsion formula contains the perfect combination of watermelon, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and lightweight, non-comedogenic moringa seed oil to create a reflective complexion without the use of glitter, mica, or pearls (and doesn’t leave a gray cast). The lightweight texture quickly absorbs, and is suitable for all skin types!

Where does the color come from?

The color of the formula is naturally derived from soothing plant extracts and lightweight moringa seed oil! 

Where should I store my Dew Drops serum?

We recommend keeping your Dew Drops in a cool, dry place (out of direct light!), along with the rest of your skincare products. We do not recommend storing Dew Drops in the fridge, but if you want to put it in your skincare fridge for just a second to snap a cute shelfie… we’ll look the other way! 

Does it leave a tacky finish?

Dew Drops has a lightweight texture that leaves the skin feeling hydrated and primed for makeup, but never tacky or sticky. We always recommend gently patting in each skincare step with your fingertips to assure even absorption. 

Will this layer well with makeup?

Yes! We created this buildable formula to work well under and on top of makeup. To use Dew Drops as a makeup primer, we recommend applying 1–2 pumps all over your face as the last step in your skin-care routine before makeup for a smooth finish and glow. Why do I need niacinamide in my skincare routine?

Niacinamide is a multi-beneficial skin care ingredient that helps to illuminate skin instantly and overtime, visibly brighten hyperpigmentation and dark spots, minimize the appearance of pores and smooth fine lines and wrinkles. We believe this multi-tasking ingredient should be in everyone’s routine. 

Is Dew Drops suitable for acne prone or oily skin? Will it make my skin oily?

When used regularly, niacinamide can actually help control oil production, making it a star ingredient for those with acne-prone skin! This mica-free emulsion creates a lightweight, buildable texture that quickly absorbs, and is suitable for all skin types including oily or acne prone because it’s not heavy or greasy. Over time, it can help to minimize the size of pores as well.

Is it non-comedogenic/non-acnegenic?

While the formula is not tested non-comedogenic or non-acnegenic, we made sure all ingredients are gentle for all skin types. Niacinamide’s pore-refining properties make this mica-free formula a great option for those with oily or acne-prone skin who want a dewy glow without worrying about breakouts!

Is this formula safe for the eye area?

Yes! It has been clinically ophthalmologist tested to be safe for the eye area. For a glossy eye look, dab a pea-sized amount to the center of the eyelid and blend out. The formula can also be used under the eye area before concealer.

Does niacinamide cancel out vitamin C?

It’s myth-busting time! This is actually a common myth spread throughout the beauty industry. Niacinamide and Vitamin C are both powerful antioxidants that actually become more effective when used in the same routine!

What is the recyclability of the packaging?

Every part of this packaging is recyclable. The glass bottle and the entire carton can be recycled curbside. The plastic cap and pump can be recycled through our TerraCycle partnership. Just remember to rinse out your glow goodies before recycling!
