Your feedback is incredibly important to us, and your requests for an eye product has not fallen on deaf ears. It’s our pleasure to finally announce the newest addition to our avocado family: the Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask! 

The Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping is more than just an eye cream. Much like our cult-favorite sleeping masks, it’s packed with active ingredients that will change your skin overnight, and its formulation is based on one of our favorite super-fruits, the avocado. The skin underneath your eyes actually doesn’t have any pore or oil glands, meaning it’s more prone to dryness. Avocados are full of antioxidants and hydrating fatty acids, making them the perfect ingredient for the skin around the eyes. 

When we were creating this eye cream, we wanted to make sure it was addressing some of your most common under eye concerns: darkness, puffiness, milia, and fine lines and wrinkles. And what can help with all of those things? Retinol, of course! This powerhouse ingredient, however, has quite a reputation for causing irritation in new users. Enter encapsulated retinol,  the hero ingredients of our Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask. Just like free retinol, it speeds up skin cell turnover to increase collagen, help plump fine lines and wrinkles, treat and prevent milia, and more, all while being much more gentle upon delivery, making it perfect for the delicate eye area.

When we were looking into treating and preventing dark circles, we came across the powerful coffeeberry and knew we just had to use it. Coffeeberry comes from the coffee plant, so as you probably already guessed, it’s rich in caffeine and antioxidants! Caffeine helps to reduce the appearance of under eye darkness by constricting blood vessels, and antioxidants work to protect your skin barrier overall. 

Another technological innovation that we’re excited to include in this eye mask is its Hydrogel base. Hydrogel is known for its anti-inflammatory effects, and it’s often used to heal wounds and burns, so it has amazing soothing properties. Not only does it soothe and cool as it’s applied, but it has a lightweight and bouncy texture that sinks into skin. We also infused this formula with aloe, hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide, all of which work to calm and help protect the under-eye area. 

Also, did we mention that our eye mask is ophthalmologist tested and approved? It was incredibly important to use to make sure this mask was safe to use near the eyes. We recommend applying your eye mask after cleansing and toning and before serums and treatments. This is because your treatments with active ingredients may not have been tested for use near the eyes, and this reduces any chances of irritation. In addition to wearing this overnight to rejuvenate the under-eye area, you can also apply our eye mask during the day time, just make sure to wear sunscreen over top that has been approved for use around the eyes.
