Like all beauty fanatics, we’ve built up an arsenal of skincare must-haves over the years, but you don’t need a 10 step routine to get the skin of your dreams. Instead, we’re all about using hybrid products in different ways, according to how our skin is feeling that day.
Without further ado, let us introduce you to the 7 Day Masking Challenge. All you have to do is mask every day for one week, and you’ll see serious results: think ultra-glowy, radiant, bright skin. With our Watermelon Glow and Avocado Retinol masks at the ready, we’re taking it day by day and tailoring our masking routine based on our daily skin concerns.
Not sure where to start? Here’s a handy guide:
Dry or Dehydrated?
If your skin is feeling tight and dry, start by using the Avocado Retinol Mask overnight, and wake up to some seriously supple skin thanks to the nourishing avocado extract and oil in its creamy formula. Before washing your face in the AM, use the Watermelon Glow Mask as a flash mask. Apply a thick layer and leave it on for 10 minutes, then wash off with your normal cleanser and follow with your morning skincare routine! The watermelon extract will nourish skin in a flash, while AHAs will buff away the dry surface layer to reveal smooth, hydrated skin.
Feeling Oily?
Did you know that most people have combination skin? If you’re oily in some spots and dry or normal in others, then you probably do, too. This is where the multi-masking technique really comes in clutch. Take note of where your skin is more oily (often this is the T-zone) and apply a layer of the Watermelon Glow Mask to those areas. It’s the perfect lightweight but nourishing formula to keep oil production in check without clogging your pores. On the rest of your face, apply Avocado Retinol to keep your skin plump, hydrated, and smooth.
Dealing with Congestion?
Retinol does an amazing job at soothing inflammation and redness, and with continued use it can even help keep pores unclogged. This means it’s great to use as a spot treatment, so start by dabbing Avocado Retinol on any inflamed blemishes. Then, smooth Watermelon Glow onto the rest of your face to maintain a smooth and dewy complexion. Glow tip: avoid wiping away your spot treatments when applying your all-over mask.
