Which J.One Jelly Pack Is Right For You?

jellypack_whole

When J.One made its debut with a Jelly Pack, we were seriously impressed by this out-of-the-box multitasker. A product that condenses your morning skincare routine by hydrating, plumping, and priming skin? What’s not to love?

She followed that blockbuster up with the Black Jelly Pack, a nighttime jelly with a more fluid-like texture and antioxidant-rich formula that makes it a high-performance sleeping mask. This yin and yang of skincare promised around-the-clock skin-beautifying powers.

And then along came a new addition to the family, the Red Jelly Pack, an anti-aging overachiever that keeps skin protected from the signs of premature aging.

While it might look like the J.One Jelly Packs are the same based on their outer appearance, they couldn’t be more different when it comes to functionality. And we’re not just talking about color here. Each pack is targeted for specific skin needs and types. Not sure which is right for you?  Check out this jelly pack comparison to help you find the one that’s totally your jam.

For The Makeup Lover

The white Jelly Pack was the OG jelly, a major disruptor in the K-beauty game. Combining the benefits of a serum, mask, and makeup primer, this clear gel melts into skin to hydrate and smooth — a dream come true for makeup wearers everywhere. A supercharged blend of hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and floral waters from rosemary and chamomile provide a visibly plumped appearance and soothing qualities while the it “grips” onto foundations and sunscreens. Antioxidant molecule fullerene further protects skin and minimizes fine lines by absorbing free radicals, so your look can remain flawless all day long. It’s also fragrance-free, making it perfect for sensitive skin types.

For The Nighttime Pamperer

Where the regular Jelly Pack performs best during the day, the Black Jelly Pack does better in the evenings when makeup comes off. Harnessing the power of seven “midnight-hued” ingredients like blackberries, propolis, and truffle, this dark jelly hydrates and fortifies skin with antioxidants. The Black Jelly Pack has more slip to it, much like a pudding gel, so it spreads across skin with ease. Supple and radiant skin is the priority with the Black Jelly Pack, which is achieved with a luxurious blend of hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and pearl. When you wake up in the morning, you’ll be hypnotized by the glowing complexion looking back at you. Another perk the Black Jelly Pack has over its daytime counterparts is its comforting, bedtime-appropriate scent that smells similar to baby powder — but is still non-irritating for skin.

For The Youth Seeker

As the newest addition to the J.One family, the Red Jelly Pack is an anti-aging ampoule that defends skin from environmental aggressors and works as a makeup primer for a two-in-one perfecting punch. Where the Black Jelly Pack got its dark tint from midnight-hued ingredients, the Red Jelly Pack gets its rosy hue from raspberry, hibiscus and papaya extracts. The real star of the formula is astaxanthin, a red algae known as the strongest antioxidant found in nature — 6,000 times stronger than vitamin C!  If you have noticeable fine lines and dullness, this is the Jelly Pack for you. It plumps skin with mega-doses of hydration and makes skin nourished and brighter after application. Compared to its jelly sisters, this gel has a thicker, jam-like texture that keeps makeup in place while allowing anti-aging goodies like moringa seed oil and hyaluronic acid to do their youth-boosting thing. We also can’t get enough of the mildly fruity scent — just one more reason you’ll love applying this pack every day.

I’m already a huge fan of the original jelly pack, but as a sweaty person in a humid area, do you think the red is a better primer for sunscreen/foundation in terms of grippiness, or are they about the same? thanks!

Hi Kate, the Red Jelly Pack is slightly thicker with a jam-like consistency compared to the original. Both are grippy and perfect for sunscreen/foundation, but since your area is humid it might be better to stick to the white Jelly Pack since it's more lightweight.

I've tried both the original & black J.ONE Jelly Packs (& the sheet masks) & they're all great but the new red, anti-aging version is calling my name!

If you love the original, we think you'll really enjoy the Red Jelly Pack. It's similar in texture, while being a bit denser and even more antioxidant-packed than the original :)

Red Algae is 6,000x stronger than Vit C??!!? I'm so glad different versions came out because I don't think I would be a big fan of the white one since I barely wear foundation base but the black and red ones appeal to me.
