Who is obsessed with, believes in, and buys new products religiously at Sephora? I’m visualizing myself holding a microphone in front of thousands of people in an outdoor space yelling out this question, and seeing 99% of women raising hands immediately.
It’s true, I can’t think of anyone I know who isn’t crazy about this candy store. I know most of my friends go to Sephora to buy one lipstick and end up spending over $100 out of impulse every single time.
I’m a VIB Rouge girl and have been for many years. I visit Sephora at least twice a week. Most importantly, Sephora has a very special place in my heart – when I worked in the Lancome New York office in marketing for makeup a few years back, I still remember vividly how working for the Sephora account was a dream job. Everyone on the floor always volunteered to work on any Sephora related project whether it was just buying a competitor product from the Fifth Avenue store, or strategizing an exclusive launch and merchandising plan for them. I had the greatest fortune to launch a foundation range in Sephora with a disruptive gondola (merchandising unit) plan. I still remember our Sephora account team members’ names, the budget we spent, and the amazing sales results. It was one of the most exciting launches of my career, for obvious reasons.
Then after founding Glow Recipe, I had another incredible opportunity to work with Sephora again – to support belif‘s launch and nurture the brand its marketing, PR, education and sales. I have to admit, it was a lot of work but it was one of the most rewarding launches as far as I can remember. I mean, who hasn’t heard of belif’s best-selling Aqua Bomb yet? For a new brand to have had such steep growth and so much love from the customers was unheard of, and it makes me smile to think that my ‘baby’ is shining and still growing tall.
But we never had the entire team squeal together for as long as 30 seconds like this morning. And I definitely slept more than 5 hours before the two previous major launch dates. Last night? I could barely sleep from excitement and joy…
…because Glow Recipe exclusive brands were launching at Sephora today, with a very special partnership. Because the two brands that I have always believed in since the day we spotted them in Korea, two of the most innovative brands I know, and Glow Recipe’s extraordinary babies that were given birth in the US, fed and nurtured were about to meet a new additional family, Sephora. Meet Blithe and J.One at Sephora!
For me, today marks a key milestone for Glow Recipe and a huge step forward to reaching more and to sharing more. We are honored to be Sephora’s content partners for everything K-beauty. We are beyond thrilled to share the latest trends and skincare secrets not only to our Glow Recipe family, but to the Sephora lovers (aka most people) out there as well. After our Shark Tank experience, this is another major moment for us to appreciate the world of K-beauty for how innovative it is, but also how it will soon be a staple for everyone that wants a beautifully glowing skin.
